Here's what everyone is talking about in the beauty world, broken down in one quick digest by Popsugar Beauty section lead Jessica Harrington.
How are we all recovering from the weekend? With Halloween falling on a Saturday for the first time since 2020, people went all out — literally. Not to mention, in New York City, the marathon was on Sunday. It’s an understatement to say that I feel like a shell of myself this week.
If you were too busy enjoying yourself this weekend to keep up with social (good for you!), you likely missed some of the iconic Halloween costumes that celebrities graced us with. Allow me to do a mini recap for you.
Lisa Rinna really commits to a look, and she had me completely fooled when I saw this picture of her dressed as Kylie Jenner. Megan Fox, meanwhile, was a very convincing sexy siren and Paris Hilton dressed up as Britney Spears (again!). Chlöe Bailey looked incredible as Hot Meg from Family Guy and Heidi Klum, the queen of Halloween herself, went as a severed hand with out-of-this-world special FX makeup. But she wasn’t the only one: Janelle Monae’s phish boy costume looks like it belongs in a movie.
They’re all so good, I don’t think I can pick a favorite.
These are the products that I couldn’t stop using last month.
Merit The Uniform Tinted Mineral Sunscreen SPF 45
I recently rediscovered just how good this sunscreen is. I’m pregnant, and my skin has been breaking out a lot recently, so I need a mineral formula that’s gentle and won’t clog pores. This one checks every box.
This limited-edition perfume has notes of warm sandalwood, zesty orange blossom, and clean lavender, creating a scent that feels like a cozy embrace from someone special.
I've been in love with just about every Marc Jacobs Beauty launch, and this new concealer is no different. The formula is hydrating and doesn't dry out skin, even after eight-plus hours of wear.
Olaplex Shape Set Hair Repair & Frizz-Control Flexible Hold Hairspray
This formula offers medium hold without leaving your hair with that dreaded crispy coating that most hairspray formulas tout. It also features bond repair technology to help create memory in your style long after you turn off your hot tools.
